Management Structure for the Canadian NEPTUNE Study:

A Canadian NEPTUNE Management Board is being established by IPOST. As of late November 1999, confirmed members included:

  • Jim Franklin, Franklin Geosciences; 
  • Paul Leblond, Global Insights; 
  • John Macdonald, IPOST; 
  • John Madden; STC Enterprises; 
  • Jim McFarlane, International Submarine Engineering; 
  • John Nightingale, Vancouver Public Aquarium;
  • Calvin Shantz, BC Information, Science and Technology Agency; 
  • Verena Tunnicliffe, University of Victoria
  • Chris Barnes, University of Victoria, on sabbatical
  • Ross Chapman, University of Victoria
  • Bruce Pridmore, NRC
  • Paul Kovacs, Insurance Bureau of Canada
  • Gerald Foley, it-International Telecom Inc.
  • Jeremy Hall, Memorial University
  • Kim Juniper, Université de Québec a Montréal
  • William Mehan, IPOST
  • A few additional members will be added.

    Sub committees are being set up to help ensure that the results of the study are technically credible and accurately represent the interests of each of the major communities.
