DMAS

Overview

DMAS is the Data Management and Archiving System for VENUS and NEPTUNE. This page is a temporary resource for those requiring DMAS-related documents.

DMAS fulfills four roles in both of the observatories:

1. Acquire and archive high-fidelity data for all of the instruments attached to the observatory network.
2. Provide access to live as well as archived data.
3. Provide instrument control capabilities to principal investigators and other researchers.
4. Manage observatory resources (access by principal investigators to instruments is necessarily regulated since the availability of both power and bandwidth are limited).
